Ahmed Roshdy
Hi 👋🏼 I'm Ahmed. I'm a financial advisor based in Plantation, Florida, with more than 13 years of experience in financial services. I work with business owners, individuals, and retirees to develop thoughtful investment strategies, manage risk, and plan for their long-term income needs.
I believe understanding the relationship between risk and reward is essential to making informed financial decisions. Whether we're building an investment portfolio, exploring income-generating strategies, or preparing for retirement, I take the time to explain the reasoning behind each recommendation and how it fits into your broader financial picture. My goal is to help you feel informed, involved, and confident in the direction of your financial plan.
How can I help?
Ahmed Roshdy is a financial advisor with more than 13 years of experience in financial services, helping individuals, families, and business owners navigate investment decisions, retirement planning, and long-term wealth management.
Ahmed began his career at Chase in 2013, where he developed a foundation in banking and client relationships. His work as a banker led to an opportunity to become a financial advisor with J.P. Morgan in 2018. He went on to hold advisory roles with Insigneo Securities and Insigneo Advisory Services in Miami before joining Edward Jones in 2025.
Throughout his career, Ahmed has focused on helping clients understand how their investments connect to their financial goals. His approach emphasizes retirement income planning, portfolio construction, and risk management, with particular attention to the relationship between potential returns and the risks involved. He believes that clients should understand not only what is being recommended, but why a particular strategy may make sense for their circumstances.
Ahmed holds the Series 7, Series 66, Series 6, and SIE qualifications, along with a Florida insurance license. He works with business owners and retirees, helping them evaluate investment opportunities, plan for income needs, and make informed decisions as their financial circumstances evolve.
Outside of work, Ahmed enjoys spending time with his two children. He is also passionate about soccer, both playing and coaching, and considers Lionel Messi his all-time favorite player.
I started my career at Chase in June 2013, working in an entry-level banking position. As I gained experience and built relationships with clients, I became increasingly interested in helping people make more informed decisions about their finances.
In 2018, I was offered the opportunity to become a financial advisor with J.P. Morgan at the same branch where I had been working. It felt like a natural next step because I could build on the relationships I'd developed while taking a more active role in helping clients plan for their financial futures. Since then, I've continued developing my experience in investment management, retirement planning, and risk management.
I primarily work with business owners and retirees who want a thoughtful approach to managing their investments and planning for future income needs.
For business owners, that may mean balancing investment decisions with the financial demands of running a business and preparing for retirement. For retirees, the focus is often on understanding how their portfolios can support their lifestyle and income needs over time. I take the time to understand each client's circumstances so we can develop strategies that reflect their goals and comfort with risk.
My primary areas of focus are retirement planning, risk management, income planning, and investment management.
I spend a significant amount of time helping clients understand the relationship between risk and potential reward, particularly when evaluating portfolio allocations and income-generating investments. I also work with clients to assess their long-term financial goals and determine how different investment strategies may support those objectives.
I help clients build and manage investment portfolios with an emphasis on long-term goals, income needs, and risk tolerance.
Depending on the client's circumstances, this may include equity-focused portfolios, mutual funds, ETFs, and options-based strategies designed to generate income. I also work with portfolios that hold a broad selection of individual equities, including U.S. stocks.
Before implementing any strategy, I believe it's important to evaluate the potential benefits, understand the risks involved, and consider how the investment fits within the client's overall financial plan.
One of the most important parts of my approach is making sure clients understand the reasoning behind every recommendation I make.
I believe investment decisions should begin with a clear understanding of risk versus reward and how each decision supports a client's long-term objectives. Rather than simply presenting an investment idea, I explain why I'm recommending it, what the potential outcomes may look like, and how it could affect the client's portfolio.
I want my clients to feel comfortable asking questions and participating in the decisions that shape their financial future.
My favorite part of working with clients is seeing their investments make progress toward their financial goals.
It's rewarding to help someone develop a strategy, understand the decisions behind it, and see how those decisions contribute to their financial picture over time. I enjoy building relationships where clients feel informed about their portfolios and understand how we're working toward their long-term objectives.
