Chris Everett

Hi, I’m Chris. I’m the founder of Everett Wealth Solutions, and I’ve spent more than 30 years helping individuals, families, and business owners make financial decisions with more clarity and confidence.

My work has always gone beyond the numbers. I call my approach “financial healing.” It starts with understanding your relationship with money, then looking for the inefficiencies that may be quietly costing you and building a plan that supports the life you want to live.

Whether we’re talking about retirement income, investments, paying for college, estate considerations, or the financial side of running a business, I aim to bring both humanity and careful analysis to every conversation. The goal is a plan that reflects your priorities today and prepares you for what comes next.

I host a podcast called Beyond The Numbers, where money meets meaning and purpose.  It’s a great way to understand how I think and to meet interesting people I’ve had the privilege of interviewing.

Our team

Todd Wandtke is our office manager who started as a client.  He knew our culture of honor. And after years in retail management, he decided all the trains, planes, and automobiles of that retail life needed to end.  We are blessed to have him on our team.

Paul Michaels, our Savvy Client Services Assistant, processes all the paperwork for our practice.  Paul was a chiropractor in private practice before he and his wife became clients.  An injury ended his practice but opened the door to give us a blessing when he joined our EWS family.

And then there are the multiple resources of Savvy and other Savvy advisors that make it possible for me to bring a myriad of wisdom to my clients.

I didn’t start in financial services. I went to school intending to become a doctor, then married, started a family, and sang in a rock band for a while. A chance conversation with an insurance agent opened the door to this work, and my analytical side and my curiosity about people found a natural home in it.

I began in financial services in 1988 and have worked with several firms along the way. I’ve since moved into a fiduciary role, and my focus has always been the same: helping people understand what they have, what they need, and what’s worth changing. My favorite moment is seeing a client lean back, exhale, and realize something that felt overwhelming finally makes sense.

How did you become a financial advisor?

I didn’t start in financial services. I went to school intending to become a doctor, then married, started a family, and sang in a rock band for a while. A chance conversation with an insurance agent opened the door to this work, and my analytical side and my curiosity about people found a natural home in it.

What types of clients do you work with?

I work with individuals, families, business owners, and high-net-worth clients who want a more comprehensive understanding of their financial lives.

Some clients are navigating life stages, preparing for retirement or thinking about how to pass wealth to the next generation. Others are business owners balancing personal financial goals with the responsibilities of running a company. Many come to me because they have accumulated assets but aren't entirely sure whether all the pieces of their financial picture are working together.

Regardless of their circumstances, I enjoy working with people who value honest conversations, thoughtful planning, and a relationship that goes beyond reviewing account statements.

What areas of expertise do you have?

My experience spans retirement planning, investment management, financial planning, and estate and trust planning. I also help clients evaluate tax considerations, insurance coverage, risk management, and other financial decisions that can influence their overall financial health.

One area I pay particular attention to is identifying what I call "wealth leaks." These are financial inefficiencies or overlooked details that may be quietly affecting someone's resources over time.

With over 30 years in financial services, I've learned how important it is to look at the connections between different financial decisions rather than evaluating each one in isolation.

What kinds of strategies do you help clients with?

I start by helping clients understand where they stand financially and where they want to go. From there, we identify potential gaps or inefficiencies and evaluate strategies that fit their circumstances.

That might involve various stages of their life, reviewing retirement income needs, investment allocations, estate and trust documents, tax considerations, or insurance coverage. For business owners, it may also mean examining financial statements, employee benefits, and how business decisions interact with personal wealth.

I believe a financial plan should connect all these moving parts. Rather than starting with a predetermined solution, I focus on understanding the full picture so we can make informed decisions about which strategies are appropriate.

Is there a unique approach that sets you apart?

I call my approach "financial healing" because I believe money is deeply connected to how people experience their lives. Financial decisions aren't just mathematical. They're influenced by personal history, family relationships, emotions, and the things we hope to accomplish.

My process is systematic and methodical, but it's also deeply personal. I take the time to look beyond the obvious numbers and examine areas where clients may be losing resources unnecessarily.

That could mean so many things, including but not limited to reviewing a tax return, evaluating how assets are owned, examining trust documents, or identifying gaps in insurance coverage. Small details can have meaningful implications when viewed as part of a larger financial picture.

Ultimately, I want clients to understand not only what they're doing with their finances, but why those decisions matter for the life they're building.

What is your favorite part about working with clients?

My favorite moment is when I see a client physically relax during a conversation. They lean back in their chair, exhale, and their shoulders drop because something that once felt overwhelming finally makes sense.

That's when I know our work is making a meaningful difference.

Financial planning can involve complicated decisions, but behind those decisions are real people who want to care for their families, grow their business, enjoy their lives, and feel more confident about the future. Being part of that process and seeing the relief that comes with greater clarity is what makes this work so rewarding to me.

What is it like partnering with Savvy?

There's a strong emphasis on supporting the people doing the work while keeping the client experience at the center of everything.

At Everett Wealth Solutions, we believe relationships and thoughtful guidance matter. Working with Savvy lets us build on that philosophy with a collaborative team, other advisors, and resources that support the work we do for our clients.

And when it’s time, Savvy’s resources and community support a strong succession plan so my clients never need to worry about what happens when I retire.
