Randy Long
Hi, I’m Randy. I work with business owners and their families to plan for retirement, estate and trust decisions, investment management, and business succession.
My background spans law, financial planning, exit planning, and portfolio construction, which helps me look at each client’s situation from several angles. I prefer deep, long-term relationships with a smaller number of clients where I can add meaningful value over time.
I help business owners and their families think proactively, organize complex decisions, and build lasting family legacies

How did you become a financial advisor?
I started working toward this path in college because I wanted to serve entrepreneurs. Early on, I thought becoming a CFP® professional was the best way to do that. After a few years, I realized business owners often need guidance that goes beyond personal financial planning, which led me to law school as well.
What types of clients do you work with?
I primarily work with business owners and their families. I look for client relationships where I can add meaningful value, and I prefer deep, long-term relationships with people who want thoughtful guidance over time.
What areas of expertise do you have?
My work includes estate planning, exit planning, investment management, and succession planning. I also bring a legal background and hands-on portfolio construction experience to the planning process.
What kinds of strategies do you help clients with?
I often help clients with estate and trust planning, succession and exit planning, retirement planning, and investment management. Much of my work centers on helping business owners navigate complexity and think proactively.
What is your favorite part of working with clients?
The clients themselves. I enjoy getting to know people well, building real relationships, and working closely with a smaller number of clients in a meaningful way.
What is it like partnering with Savvy?
I’ve appreciated the quality of the people at Savvy. I’ve been impressed with the team and the collaborative environment.
