Chris Chorlins
Hi, I’m Chris. I’m a financial advisor based in Saint Louis, Missouri, and the founder of Amber Hour Private Wealth. I work with wealth creators, families preparing the next generation, and Gen X and Millennial inheritors who want guidance after receiving unexpected wealth.
My background includes 21 years in wealth management, with experience serving ultra-high-net-worth families across investments, tax planning, estate planning, trust planning, and family governance. Through Amber Hour Private Wealth, my goal is to bring a family-office-level service model to individuals and families who want thoughtful planning, coordination, and guidance without needing $100M plus in assets.
I help families bring structure, clarity, and family-office-level planning to the decisions that shape their wealth, their legacy, and the next generation.

About Amber Hour Private Wealth
Our name is a nod to the community on a small Florida island where residents gather at the shoreline to marvel at the transition from day to night during the “Amber Hour.” We believe wealth management should be met with that same sense of peace and awe. We bring a high touch approach to your wealth management without the expense of a large institution. We position ourselves as the go-to point person for all your financial needs for the entire family.
We are a firm working nationwide with a limited number of families. We do not sell any products and adhere to a strict fiduciary standard. We believe aligning on your side of the table produces the right environment to achieve your goals. Our primary goal is to help educate and explain complex financial concepts to you in an easily understandable context. That way YOU feel confident that YOU are making the best financial decisions.

By accident. My path into wealth management was not something I had mapped out from the beginning, but the work quickly became meaningful to me. Over time, I found that I enjoyed helping families connect the dots between investments, taxes, estate planning, and the decisions that affect future generations.
I work with wealth creators who want help preparing the next generation for wealth, as well as Gen X and Millennial inheritors who unexpectedly received wealth and want to make thoughtful decisions with it. My background in the family office space shaped the way I serve clients, especially families who want coordinated guidance across investments, tax, estate, and family governance planning.
My experience includes alternative investments, estate planning strategies, tax planning strategies, wealth transfer, trust planning, and concierge-style client service. I have also worked closely with ultra-high-net-worth families through family office planning, which informs the way I guide families today.
I often help clients organize their full financial picture, evaluate alternative investment opportunities, plan around tax considerations, coordinate estate and trust planning, and prepare for wealth transfer across generations. For inheritors, I help create structure around new financial responsibilities so they can make decisions with more clarity.
My goal is to bring a family-office-level service model to individuals and families who want access to the planning techniques often used by ultra-high-net-worth families. That means looking beyond investments alone and helping clients coordinate the financial, tax, estate, and family dynamics that shape long-term wealth decisions.
I enjoy building deep relationships and becoming the first call when clients have questions around money or finances. The most rewarding part of this work is helping families feel organized, heard, and supported through meaningful financial decisions.
I’m excited about Savvy’s technology platform and the way it supports a more connected advisor and client experience. The platform gives me tools to focus more time on planning, communication, and helping clients make informed decisions.
