Christian Giannangeli, CFP®

Hi, I'm Christian Giannangeli, CFP®, Founder of Lockwood Private Wealth, an independent wealth management firm.

I serve as a "personal CFO" to professionals with equity compensation, business owners, and families preparing for retirement: one advisor who sees your whole financial picture, coordinates every specialist in your life, and plans forward for life's biggest decisions.

My goal is simple: to be the first call you make when life and money intersect.

Get to know Christian

After nearly a decade advising some of the most sophisticated families in the country at J.P. Morgan, Merrill Lynch, and a billion-dollar independent firm, the lesson that stuck with me is that an advisor's greatest value isn't solely managing investments. It's helping people make better decisions with their money.

As my clients' "personal CFO", I oversee and coordinate every part of their financial lives. Investment management is a critical component, but my role extends far beyond the portfolio: evaluating major financial decisions, navigating equity compensation and business ownership, planning taxes proactively, and coordinating with CPAs, estate attorneys, and insurance professionals so every piece of their financial life works together.

Like my clients, I'm a business owner making decisions about my own cash flow, family, and time, so the conversation is personal and practical, not theoretical.

How did you become a financial advisor?

I chose to become a financial advisor because it brings together my passion for people, markets, and trusted relationships. I wanted a career where I could work closely with individuals I respect, help guide important decisions, and serve as a long-term partner in helping them pursue their goals.

What areas of expertise do you have?

My areas of expertise include equity compensation planning, investment management, comprehensive financial planning, business owner planning, tax-aware wealth strategies, retirement income planning, and estate planning coordination.

What types of clients do you work with?

I work with successful executives, business owners, and families facing increasing financial complexity who want a trusted partner to help them build, protect, and enjoy their wealth through coordinated planning and investment management.

What types of strategies do you usually help clients with?

I often help clients with equity compensation and concentrated stock planning, Roth conversion strategies, business owner and exit planning, retirement income and distribution planning, estate and legacy planning coordination, liquidity event planning, private investment and real estate analysis, and comprehensive investment management.

Is there a unique approach that sets you apart?

I believe wealth management is not just about managing money, it is about helping people make better decisions with their money.

While investment management is an important part of what we do, our greatest value often comes from helping clients navigate meaningful moments in their lives, such as a business opportunity, liquidity event, equity compensation decision, retirement transition, tax strategy, or a significant life change.

By integrating investment management, financial planning, and coordination across a client’s entire financial life, I provide the perspective of a "personal chief financial officer". My goal is to help bring clarity to complexity and confidence to each decision.

What is your favorite part about working with clients?

I enjoy working with successful people who are building something meaningful, whether that is a business, a career, a legacy, or a life they are proud of.

As success creates greater opportunity, it often creates greater complexity. I find it rewarding to help clients simplify that complexity, think through important decisions, and feel confident that each part of their financial life is working together toward a shared goal.

Working with Savvy

I chose Savvy Wealth because it allows me to deliver the best of both worlds: the personalized service of an independent advisor and the resources, technology, and investment capabilities of a larger institution.

By leveraging an industry-leading platform, I'm able to spend less time on administrative tasks and more time focused on what matters most: helping clients make better financial decisions, navigate complexity, and pursue their long-term goals.

The result is a more efficient, coordinated, and client-focused wealth management experience.
