Dean Quintas
Hi, I’m Dean. I help individuals, families, and business owners bring their investments and financial plans into alignment with the goals that matter most to them.
Before becoming a financial advisor, I spent nearly 20 years at Nasdaq. That experience gave me a strong foundation in financial markets and shaped the way I approach investment management today. I start by listening closely to each client’s needs, responsibilities, and aspirations, then work backward to create a personalized portfolio and planning strategy designed around them.
“I begin by understanding what each client needs and wants to accomplish, then work backward to build an investment and planning strategy around those priorities.”

Get to know Dean
Dean Quintas is a Wealth Manager with more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry. Before becoming a financial advisor, he spent nearly 20 years at Nasdaq, where he developed a deep understanding of financial markets and the forces that shape them.
A networking conversation introduced Dean to the advisory profession and prompted him to explore a new direction for his career. After carefully considering the opportunity, he recognized that financial advising would allow him to combine his market knowledge with his interest in building relationships and helping people make thoughtful financial decisions.
Dean later spent six years working as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch before joining Savvy Advisors. He focuses on constructing and managing personalized, goal-based portfolios for individuals and business owners. His work may include investment management, retirement and college planning, income planning, tax-aware strategies, securities lending, estate planning coordination, and wealth transfer considerations.
Dean takes the time to understand each client’s essential responsibilities and longer-term aspirations. From there, he works backward to develop a portfolio and planning framework that reflects the client’s priorities, circumstances, and comfort with risk.
Outside of his advisory work, Dean supports several charitable organizations. He is involved with No Bats Baseball Club and the Chicago West Community Music Center.

After spending nearly 20 years at Nasdaq, I met someone through networking who introduced me to the financial advisory profession. The conversation caught my attention and led me to research the role more closely. After considering how my experience and interests could translate into a new career, I decided that becoming a financial advisor was a strong fit for the next chapter of my professional life.
I focus first on understanding the client’s needs, goals, responsibilities, and concerns. Once those priorities are clear, I work backward to determine how their investments and financial plan can support them. Rather than beginning with a predetermined portfolio, I build the strategy around the client’s life.
I work with a broad range of clients, including individuals, families, and business owners. Many of the people I serve are looking for help managing their investments while also creating a financial or retirement plan that connects their portfolio to their broader goals.
My favorite part is building meaningful relationships and seeing the difference thoughtful financial guidance can make in someone’s life. It is rewarding to help clients become more organized, make informed decisions, and move closer to the goals that are important to them.
My work centers on investment management, financial planning, retirement planning, income planning, tax-aware planning, custom portfolio construction, and risk management. I also coordinate with other professionals when clients need support related to estate planning, college planning, securities lending, or wealth transfer considerations.
I often help clients create and manage custom investment portfolios alongside financial and retirement plans. The process begins with understanding what the client wants their money to accomplish, then developing an investment and planning framework that supports those priorities.
I recently joined Savvy and look forward to using its technology, resources, and collaborative environment to support my clients. I am especially interested in continuing to develop an experience that connects personalized investment management with coordinated financial planning.
