Get to know Kurt
Kurt Fetter has spent more than 20 years helping business owners, investors, and families navigate important financial decisions. His career began with a focus on estate planning for successful farming families. While he enjoyed that work, he became increasingly interested in investment management and wanted to play a larger role in helping clients build and manage their wealth. That interest led him into the advisory industry, where he discovered a passion for building personalized investment strategies and helping clients work toward their long-term goals.
Today, Kurt focuses on serving family-owned businesses, business owners, and investors who are looking for personalized guidance around investments, retirement planning, and long-term financial goals. Many of his clients are preparing for significant life transitions, including retirement or the eventual sale of their business. His background includes investment management, stock selection, tax-aware planning, alternative investments, and business succession planning. He also has considerable experience helping business owners prepare for ownership transitions and business sales.
Kurt particularly enjoys helping business owners navigate both their company and personal financial lives, creating strategies that support their goals before, during, and after retirement. He helps clients build investment portfolios designed to support retirement goals while considering tax implications and long-term objectives. For business owners, he often assists with preparing a business for sale, organizing financial records, evaluating opportunities, and navigating the transition process from ownership to retirement.
For Kurt, the relationships are the most rewarding part of the work. He enjoys getting to know clients, learning about their families, businesses, and goals, and being part of important decisions throughout their lives. Over time, many client relationships grow beyond the professional level, which is one of the most gratifying aspects of what he does. Kurt holds an MBA and is based in New York, NY.
