I have always been interested in the deeper role money plays in people's lives. Growing up in a middle-income household in India, I saw how money can influence one's sense of security, opportunity, and family responsibility.
My curiosity grew during my MBA as I developed an interest in the financial markets and the power of long-term compounding. After graduation I began my career with Citibank working with Indian families outside India. Early in my career Citibank relocated me to Manchester in the United Kingdom to help build its NRI Wealth Management presence in the area from the ground up.
Working across India, the U.K., and now the U.S. has shaped my perspective as an advisor. While each country has its own financial systems, regulations, and unique opportunities, the needs of families are often very similar. People want to protect their wealth, care for their loved ones, and feel comfortable about the future.
This realization sits at the core of why I founded Risa Wealth LLC. My goal is to help clients bring structure and clarity to their financial lives, so that they can feel confident about the life and legacy they are creating.
I primarily work with global Indian families, especially Indian Americans who have built meaningful wealth. My clients include senior executives, technology founders, entrepreneurs, business owners, and other professionals.
Many of the families I work with have created successful lives in the U.S. while continuing to maintain deep family, financial, and emotional ties to India. They may have U.S.-based investments, equity compensation, business interests, real estate, legacy goals, or philanthropic interests across both countries.
These clients need careful coordination of their assets, and benefit from sophisticated U.S. wealth management paired with a deep understanding of India and its cultural nuances.
My expertise includes holistic wealth management, portfolio construction, tax-aware investment strategies, retirement planning, estate and trust coordination, concentrated stock and liquidity planning, QSBS considerations, and India-focused diversification strategies.
I believe psychology is at the core of wealth management. Every client has a unique relationship with money that has been shaped by their life experiences, goals, risk appetite, and responsibilities. Before recommending a strategy, my role is to listen closely and deeply understand what purpose wealth is meant to accomplish in that client's life.
From there, I help clients build coordinated strategies that align their investments, planning decisions, and family priorities into a thoughtful wealth plan. For Indian American families, this often means helping them think about their U.S. and India assets together in one integrated strategy.
My approach is shaped by the belief that for many global Indian families, wealth cannot be viewed in pieces. Having advised clients across India, the U.K., and the U.S., I understand both the technical complexity and the cultural considerations that come with managing wealth across borders. My role is to be the trusted advisor who can help bring those pieces together into one well-structured wealth plan.
What sets my approach apart is a combination of cross-border experience, a strong familiarity with India, more than two decades in wealth management, and my relationship-driven advisory style.
My favorite part of this work is the opportunity to serve clients in a deeply personal way. Wealth management is a relationship built on trust, listening, and long-term partnership.
I enjoy helping clients bring order to the complexity of their financial situations and feel more at peace about their financial future. Each family comes with their own unique story and different pieces of their financial lives. Helping bring those pieces together into a clear plan is genuinely meaningful to me.
The most rewarding feeling for me is when a client feels they have a clear path forward, their family is well cared for, and their wealth is aligned with their aspirations. To me, that sense of clarity, confidence, and peace of mind is the most important outcome of good advice.
