Rahul Sarin is a financial advisor and the Founder of Risa Wealth LLC, with more than two decades of experience advising families, entrepreneurs, senior executives, and business owners across India, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Rahul founded Risa Wealth LLC with a clear purpose: to help clients create financial prosperity with greater clarity, confidence, and peace of mind. His work is focused on helping clients manage their financial lives holistically, including investment management, financial planning, tax-aware strategies, estate and trust planning coordination, concentrated stock and liquidity planning, retirement planning, business-owner planning, and India-focused investment diversification.
Before founding Risa Wealth LLC, Rahul spent approximately 13 years at Avendus Capital, one of India’s leading financial services firms, where he was a founding member of the private wealth management business. Earlier in his career, he worked with Citibank’s Non-Resident Indian Wealth Management business and also held roles at Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank. Over the course of his career, Rahul has worked extensively with Indian families, Global Indians, and Indian American clients seeking thoughtful guidance across wealth creation, preservation, and long-term legacy planning.
Having lived and worked in India, the United Kingdom, and the United States, Rahul brings a cross-border perspective that is especially relevant for Indian American families with personal, financial, and family interests across both the U.S. and India. He understands that for many families, wealth is not only about investment returns. It is about security, opportunity, family responsibility, legacy, philanthropy, and creating a strong foundation for future generations.
Rahul earned his undergraduate degree from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, and his MBA from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai. He also completed the Senior Executive Leadership Program at Harvard Business School.
Rahul lives in New York with his wife. They have one son, who is pursuing his undergraduate studies at the University of Chicago. Outside of work, Rahul’s interests include yoga, meditation, and spending time with his family.

I have always been interested in the deeper role money plays in people’s lives. Growing up in a middle-income household in India, I saw that money was never just about numbers. It influenced choices, security, opportunity, family responsibility, and peace of mind.
That curiosity became more concrete during my MBA, where I developed a strong interest in financial markets, personal finance, and the power of long-term compounding. I began my career with Citibank’s Non-Resident Indian Wealth Management business, working with Indian families living outside India. Early in my career, Citibank relocated me to Manchester in the United Kingdom to help build its NRI Wealth Management presence in Greater Manchester from the ground up. Over time, my role expanded to London and the broader UK market.
Working across India, the UK, and now the US has shaped my perspective as an advisor. I saw that while each country has its own financial systems, regulations, and opportunities, the deeper needs of families are often very similar. People want to protect what they have built, create prosperity, care for their loved ones, make thoughtful decisions, and feel at peace about the future.
That realization became the foundation for Risa Wealth LLC. My goal is to help clients bring structure, clarity, and intention to their financial lives, so their wealth can support both prosperity and peace of mind. To me, wealth management is not simply about growing assets. It is about helping families build confidence in the life and legacy they are creating.
I primarily work with Global Indian families, with a particular focus on Indian Americans who have built meaningful wealth and are navigating increasingly complex financial lives. My clients include senior executives, technology founders, entrepreneurs, business owners, and professionals who are thinking carefully about what comes next.
Many of the families I work with have created successful lives in the U.S. while continuing to maintain deep personal, family, financial, and emotional ties to India. Their financial lives often span both worlds. They may have U.S.-based investments, equity compensation, business interests, real estate, family responsibilities, legacy goals, or philanthropic interests that require thoughtful coordination.
These clients often need more than traditional investment advice. They need sophisticated U.S. wealth management combined with a deep understanding of India, cross-border family dynamics, and the cultural nuances that shape how wealth is created, preserved, shared, and passed on.
My role is to help bring clarity and structure to that complexity, so clients can make confident decisions for themselves, their families, and future generations.
Having lived and worked as a financial advisor across India, the United Kingdom, and the United States, I bring a cross-border perspective to wealth management for Global Indian and Indian American families.
My expertise is centered on helping clients manage complex financial lives with clarity and intention. This includes holistic wealth management, portfolio construction, tax-aware investment planning, retirement planning, estate and trust planning coordination, concentrated stock and liquidity planning, QSBS considerations, business-owner planning, and India-focused diversification strategies.
For many of the families I work with, wealth is not only about investment returns. It is about financial independence, family security, legacy, philanthropy, and creating opportunities for the next generation. My role is to help clients bring these priorities together into a thoughtful, coordinated wealth plan that reflects both where they are today and what they want to build over time.
I believe psychology is at the core of wealth management. Every client has a unique relationship with money, shaped by their life experience, family background, goals, risk appetite, responsibilities, and aspirations. Before recommending a strategy, my role is to listen deeply and understand what wealth is meant to accomplish in that client’s life.
From there, I help clients build coordinated strategies across portfolio management, asset allocation, tax-aware planning, retirement planning, estate and trust planning coordination, concentrated stock positions, QSBS considerations, liquidity events, business-owner planning, and India-focused diversification.
For Indian American families, this often means helping them think about their U.S. and India assets as part of one integrated wealth plan. The goal is not to look at each account, investment, or geography in isolation, but to create a thoughtful strategy that supports the family’s broader priorities, including financial independence, security, legacy, philanthropy, and opportunity for the next generation.
My approach is shaped by a simple belief: for many Global Indian and Indian American families, wealth cannot be viewed in pieces. Their financial lives often span countries, currencies, family responsibilities, business interests, real estate, legacy goals, and deeply personal ties to India.
Having advised clients across India, the U.K., and the U.S., I understand both the technical complexity and the cultural nuance that come with building, preserving, and passing on wealth across borders. These families often need more than investment management. They need a trusted advisor who can help connect the dots across their full financial life.
What sets my approach apart is the combination of cross-border experience, deep familiarity with India, more than two decades in wealth management, and a relationship-driven advisory style. I try to bring clarity, perspective, and judgment to important financial decisions, so clients can move forward with greater confidence and peace of mind.
My favorite part of this work is the opportunity to serve clients in a deeply personal way. Wealth management is a relationship built on trust, listening, and long-term partnership.
I enjoy helping clients bring order to complexity, make thoughtful decisions, and feel more at peace about their financial future. Many families come with different pieces of their financial lives: investments, business interests, family responsibilities, retirement goals, legacy priorities, philanthropy, and sometimes assets across more than one country. Helping bring those pieces together into a clearer picture is deeply meaningful to me.
The most rewarding moments are when clients feel they have a clear path forward, their family is well cared for, and their wealth is aligned with the life they want to build. To me, that clarity, confidence, and peace of mind are among the most important outcomes of good advice.
