Savvy Advisor App — Privacy Policy
1. Introduction & Scope
Savvy DBA Savvy Wealth, Inc. & Savvy Advisors (“Savvy,” “we,” “us”) explains here how we collect, safeguard, and disclose information that results from your use of the App.
This policy applies specifically to the Savvy Advisor mobile application (the “App”) for iOS and Android. It governs information about you as an advisor and user of the App. It is distinct from, and supplements, the Savvy Wealth Privacy Policy, which governs the personal and financial information of Savvy’s clients. Where the App is used to view or manage client information, that client information continues to be governed by the client privacy policy.
2. Who This Policy Covers
This policy is directed to financial advisors and associated personnel who are provisioned access to the App by Savvy. Advisors do not self-register; accounts are created and managed by Savvy. The App is a business tool intended for these users and is not directed to the general public or to consumers.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Account & Identity Information
We collect information that identifies you, which may include your name, email address, phone number, and job title. For the App specifically, this is limited to the information needed to provision and authenticate your advisor account. We do not collect your Social Security number, financial assets, or similar sensitive personal financial information about you through the App.
3.2 Mobile Device & Technical Data
When you use the App, we automatically collect certain device and usage information, which may include:
• Push notification tokens and related device identifiers, used to deliver notifications to your device;
• Device and operating-system information (device model, OS version, app version, language/locale);
• App usage and interaction data (screens viewed, features used, session activity);
• Diagnostic and crash data used to maintain reliability and security.
3.3 Client Information Accessed Through the App
The App enables you, in your professional and fiduciary capacity, to view and manage information about Savvy clients (for example, household details and tasks). Savvy processes this client information on behalf of its advisory business; it is governed by the Savvy Wealth Privacy Policy. The App does not create a separate or new collection relationship with clients.
4. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
• provide, operate, authenticate, and secure the App and your account;
deliver push notifications and in-app alerts related to your work (e.g., tasks and reminders);
• provide support and respond to your requests;
• maintain reliability, diagnose problems, and protect against fraud and misuse;
• comply with legal, regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations.
5. Push Notifications
The App sends push notifications (for example, task and reminder alerts). To do this we register your device and store a push notification token. Notifications are delivered through Apple Push Notification service (iOS) and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android), and through our notification infrastructure provider. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings; doing so does not otherwise affect your ability to use the App.
6. How We Share Information; Service Providers
We share information for everyday business purposes necessary to operate the App, and as required to comply with law. We do not sell your personal information. We do not “share” your personal information, as defined under the CCPA, for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To operate the App, we share limited information with service providers (subprocessors) that act on our behalf, including:
• Expo (EAS) — application build/update delivery and push notification routing;
• Apple (Apple Push Notification service) and Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) — push notification delivery;
• Datadog — diagnostics, monitoring, and crash reporting;
• Our cloud hosting and backend infrastructure providers.
7. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy and to comply with our legal obligations. Because Savvy operates in a regulated industry, certain information associated with your advisor account and activity is retained as required by applicable financial recordkeeping rules (including SEC and FINRA books-and-records requirements), even after an account deletion request.
8. Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your advisor account at any time. In the App, open your profile settings and tap Delete Account, which opens our account deletion request form. You can also reach the form directly at savvywealth.com/advisor-app/delete-account (confirm final URL), without needing the App. Because advisor accounts are provisioned and managed by Savvy and are tied to your relationship with Savvy, deletion requests are reviewed and processed by the Savvy team through our offboarding process. As noted in Section 7, some information is retained as required by law and regulation. We will confirm by email when your request has been completed. Deleting your App account is separate from, and does not affect, your ownership of your client relationships or book of business. It only affects your access to, and data within, the App.
9. Your Data Protection Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, object to or restrict processing of, and obtain a portable copy of your personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Residents of the EU/EEA (GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA) have specific rights as described in this section, Including advisors engaged as independent contractors. The CCPA treats Advisors the same as any other California consumer for these purposes.
At or before the time we collect your personal information, we collect the categories described in Section 3 for the purposes described in Section 4, and retain it as described in Section 7. Savvy does not sell or “share” (as defined under the CCPA) your personal information. Savvy will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise any of these rights with respect to the App, contact us using the details in Section 12. We may need to verify your identity before completing your request, such as by confirming details associated with your advisor account. Note that some rights may be limited where we are required to retain information under applicable financial regulations (see Section 7).
10. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Access to the App requires authentication, and access to client information within the App is limited to authorized advisors. These safeguards are part of Savvy’s firm-wide information security program, including the incident response program required under SEC Regulation S-P; if a breach involving sensitive customer information occurs, we will notify affected individuals within the timeframe required by law.
11. Children’s Privacy
The App is a professional tool intended for advisors and associated personnel who are 18 years of age or older. For purposes of this section, “children” is defined as any individual who has not reached 18 years of age, or the age of majority in their jurisdiction. The App is not directed to, or intended for use by, children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information promptly.
12. Changes to This Policy & Contact
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated as appropriate, and the effective date below will be updated.
