How did you become a financial advisor?

My interest in investing was sparked in my childhood when I received some stock shares as a gift. This initial curiosity has grown into a lifelong passion. After graduating from high school, I was accepted into the University of Washington, where I pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. The fundamental lessons I learned during my upbringing have played a crucial role in my professional journey. They have allowed me to build strong personal relationships with my clients, understand their priorities, and create tailored financial plans that ensure their success. After college, I embarked on CFP® coursework alongside Amex advisors. However, I soon realized that the commission-based side of the industry wasn't the right fit for me. As a result, in 2008, I took a leap of faith and established my own RIA.

Having witnessed my highly educated parents at Stanford struggle with maximizing Social Security benefits and efficiently managing funds from various IRAs, Roth IRAs, and taxable accounts, I became determined to assist others in effectively managing and spending their hard-earned money.

What is your typical client profile?

Engineers from Intel, dedicated employees of Nike, early retirees who have chosen to pursue new passions, medical professionals with years of experience, retirees enjoying their well-deserved leisure, and individuals with trusts managing their financial future.

Is there a unique approach you take With Clients?

You can trust that I am well-versed in the proper procedures and can navigate even the most complex tax situations effectively, providing you with peace of mind and the assurance that your taxes are in capable hands along with your financial future.

What types of strategies do you usually help clients with?

Tax efficient investment, asset allocation, asset placement, concentrated company stock.

What is your favorite part you have about working with clients?

I find great joy in witnessing individuals work hard and persevere to achieve their goals, whether it's reaching a financial milestone or accomplishing a personal ambition. There's something truly special about seeing the satisfaction and pleasant surprise on their faces when they effectively manage their taxes and realize the positive impact it has on their overall financial well-being. It's a rewarding experience that reminds me of the importance of financial literacy and the power of proactive financial management.
