Luis Villavicencio is an Associate Wealth Manager with Savvy Advisors, bringing a global perspective and over a decade of experience across multiple facets of the financial services industry.

Originally from Venezuela, Luis relocated to the United States at age 19. He pursued his higher education at the University of South Florida, earning degrees in Economics and Management. His professional career began at Raymond James, where he spent ten years in money manager tTrading sSupport. During this time, he developed a deep understanding of financial markets while embracing a strong service-first culture that continues to shape his client-focused approach.

Luis later joined Independent Financial Partners, where he spent three years gaining valuable insight into the inner workings of the independent advisory business, including advisor operations, platform structure, and client service models. He then expanded his expertise at OneAmerica Securities, spending a year focused on life insurance, annuities, and alternative investments, further broadening his ability to address complex financial needs.

Today, as an Associate Wealth Manager with Savvy Advisors, Luis leverages cutting-edge technology and open-architecture solutions to deliver thoughtful, personalized strategies designed to help clients pursue their long-term financial goals with clarity and confidence. Additionally, Luis works with both English and Spanish speaking clients.

How did you become a financial advisor?

I started on the institutional and operational side of the industry, spending over a decade supporting advisors and trading activity, which gave me an inside view of markets, products, and client service. Over time, I realized I wanted to move from supporting advisors to working directly with clients – helping them plan intentionally, make efficient decisions, and build long-term security.

What areas of expertise do you have?

My expertise spans comprehensive financial planning, including retirement and income distribution strategies, investment management and asset allocation, tax-aware planning, risk management, and estate and legacy planning. I focus on integrating these areas into a cohesive, long-term strategy. During my tenure at Raymond James, I founded the Hispanic Network after recognizing a lack of representation for the Latin community within the organization. In 2018, I was honored for my leadership and contributions to diversity and inclusion initiatives. I continue to carry that commitment forward today as a committee member of the Tampa Bay Latin Chamber, dedicating significant time and effort to advancing financial education and economic empowerment within the Hispanic community.

I work with both English and Spanish speaking clients, primarily young professionals, business owners, entrepreneurs, and those who value faith-based planning.

I work with clients on comprehensive financial strategies, including retirement planning and income distribution, investment and asset allocation strategies, tax-aware planning, risk management and protection, and estate and legacy planning. The goal is to ensure each strategy works together efficiently and evolves as life circumstances change.

I translate complex financial concepts into practical strategies, build plans around the client’s life, not products, and continuously adjust those plans as circumstances change so clients can move forward with confidence and peace of mind.

What I value most is building long-term relationships and walking alongside clients as their lives evolve— helping them make informed decisions at each stage and giving them confidence that their plan is aligned with their goals and values.
