How did you become a financial advisor?

While studying at the University of Massachusetts, my interest in finance grew. During my junior and senior years, I had the privilege of interning at Fidelity Investments. Working at Fidelity allowed me to expand my knowledge and passion for financial planning and investing. After graduating, I was offered a full-time position as a retirement consultant, where I focused on assisting clients with retirement planning and guiding them through job transitions.

After a few years in this role, I realized I wanted to help clients achieve their financial goals in all aspects of their lives. This realization led me to transition into a financial advisor role. As a fiduciary advisor at Savvy, I can manage my practice with a strong emphasis on providing cost-efficient and tax-smart advice. I am dedicated to seeing things from my clients' perspective and always acting in their best interests.

What types of clients do you work with?

I take pleasure in collaborating with a diverse array of individuals, helping a wide range of clients spanning from young professionals to retirees. Moreover, my clientele encompasses small business owners, corporations, and foundations. When it comes to investment options, many of my clients gravitate toward cost-effective solutions while maintaining an active approach to asset allocation and security selection.

Is there a unique approach you take?

I value my client's investment preferences and feedback and am willing to construct a financial plan that implements their ideas and preferences. There are many ways to manage wealth and much of portfolio construction and financial planning is based on each individual’s preferences and goals. This is why I believe in tailoring a plan for each of my clients.

Is there a typical area of expertise that you have?

My area of expertise lies in portfolio construction with a focus on tax-smart strategies spanning across asset classes. This requires both a strategic and tactical approach to investing while also customizing each client’s portfolio to meet their unique preferences and goals. Additionally, I also have extensive experience in retirement income planning and insurance planning. This entails constructing income and distribution strategies to help my clients generate income from their portfolios tax-efficiently during retirement.

What types of strategies do you usually help clients with?

Many of my clients have tax-smart portfolios where we utilize ongoing tax loss harvesting to increase after-tax performance. My focus typically leans toward individual stocks, individual bonds, and low-cost exchange-traded funds (ETFs). I also construct income strategies for many of my retired clients. These strategies can include dividend growth portfolios, bond ladders, and other income-producing investments.

Working with Savvy

Before joining Savvy, my experience was primarily with large financial corporations. However, I often encountered challenges when trying to introduce new ideas and tools due to the size of these firms. The planning and portfolio management processes were designed to be scalable, which limited my ability to innovate.

Now, as a wealth manager at Savvy, I have the opportunity to provide a more personalized and boutique experience for my clients. I can freely implement my ideas and strategies, tailoring them to each individual and their family.

Our team at Savvy consists of skilled wealth managers, financial professionals, and executive management. Together, we create an environment that supports effective wealth management for our clients.

The Savvy advisor model offers the best of both worlds: the benefits of working with a fiduciary wealth management firm, combined with the security and asset protection provided by a major financial custodian.

Neither Savvy Wealth nor Savvy Advisors compensates directly for testimonials provided by advisors. However, advisors may have an indirect financial incentive to provide testimonials.

What's your favorite part about working with clients as a financial advisor?

I enjoy goal planning and working towards accomplishing my client's goals. I’ve worked with many of my clients for over 20 years now. I’ve built a personal connection with them and enjoy seeing them and their families succeed both personally and financially.
