Get to know Erik
Erik Midas began his financial services career in early 2008 as a securities trader at a major investment company. Since then, his experience has included securities trading, alternative investments, investment banking, financial planning, and wealth management.
Earlier in his career, Erik worked primarily with institutional clients. Over time, he realized he wanted to work more directly with individuals, families, and small business owners. For Erik, helping people use their financial resources to improve their lives and retirement futures became a more personal and meaningful way to apply his education, market knowledge, and planning experience.
Erik is a graduate of the University of Utah with a degree in economics. He holds FINRA Series SIE, 7, 63, and 65 licenses.
Outside of work, Erik lives in San Francisco and enjoys traveling, visiting national parks, photographing the natural world, wine tasting, spending time outdoors, and being with his family in the United States and Brazil.

I started my career in the financial industry in 2008 as a securities trader. Early on, I worked mainly with institutional clients. After one strong year of performance for a client, I realized I wanted my work to feel more personal and direct. That experience led me toward working with individuals, families, and small business owners, where financial progress can have a meaningful impact on people’s lives.
I work with high-net-worth individuals and families, family and multi-family offices, workplace retirement plans, and small business owners.
Many of my clients are navigating more complex financial situations and are looking for a clear, organized approach to managing their wealth and making informed decisions over time.
My experience includes monetary policy, macroeconomic analysis, investment management, debt management, retirement planning, income planning, and broader financial planning. I use this background to help clients understand how economic trends and market conditions may impact their financial decisions, and to build strategies that align with their overall goals.
I often help clients with debt management and reduction, retirement planning, income strategies, saving for and purchasing a home, and making more informed financial decisions. My focus is on building practical strategies that support both short-term needs and long-term goals, while staying flexible as circumstances evolve.
I believe there is no single definition of retirement or financial security. I start by understanding what those ideas mean to each client, then work with them to map out a personalized strategy. That strategy should be flexible enough to adjust as life changes and focused on helping clients preserve what they have worked to build.
My favorite part is seeing clients grow in how they make financial decisions. I enjoy watching them gain more clarity around their goals and appreciate the work that goes into helping them pursue financial happiness.
I appreciate working with a team of like-minded professionals who care about improving the client experience. Savvy gives me support, collaboration, and resources that help me focus on serving clients well.
