Jared Tanimoto, CFP®
Hi there! 👋🏼 I’m Jared, a financial advisor based in Irvine, California with over a decade of experience helping clients make well-informed financial decisions to achieve their long-term goals. I’m passionate about diving into the intricacies of financial planning - whether it’s preparing for retirement, navigating investments, or optimizing tax strategies. I take pride in making complex topics easier to understand, so my clients feel confident and in control of their financial future.
I am a proud graduate from The University of California, Irvine (UCI) where I studied Business Economics, and the Executive Financial Planning program at The Graziadio School of Business at Pepperdine University, along with the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). Outside of work, you’ll find me outdoors doing something fun with my wife Paige (who’s a CPA and economist) and my two kids. I love every kind of outdoor activity from backpacking and mountaineering to rock climbing, spearfishing and skiing. You might even find me on the golf course, if I’m looking for a little relaxation.

I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner based in Irvine, California. I started my financial planning career in 2010, after graduating from the University of California, Irvine, as a financial services representative with several insurance based broker-dealers.
After many years, I felt like there was a major flaw in the system -in my opinion, it wasn’t designed to put the client first. As time went on, I wanted to transition out of selling commissionable products and securities.. I decided to leave my sales commissions and incentive bonuses to become a pure fiduciary-based financial advisor.
I’m also a proud graduate of The University of California, Irvine (UCI) where I studied Business Economics, and the Executive Financial Planning program at The Graziadio School of Business at Pepperdine University. I love supporting my profession and giving back to the community. I found a way to do both by actively volunteering as a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).
Outside of work, you’ll find me outdoors doing something fun with my wife Paige (who’s a CPA and economist) and two kids, Quinn and Reid. I love every kind of outdoor activity from backpacking and mountaineering to rock climbing, spearfishing and skiing. You might even find me on the golf course, if I’m looking for a little relaxation.

I started my financial planning career in 2010, after graduating from the University of California, Irvine, as a financial services representative with several insurance based broker-dealers. After many years, I felt like there was a major flaw in the system - it wasn’t designed to put the client first. As time went on, I found myself wanting to transition out of selling commissionable products and securities and move towards the fiduciary relationship model .. I gave up my Series 7 and 66 licenses to build my own firm, Seadi Wealth in 2017, with a fiduciary responsibility to act in my client’s best interest.
I am now CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, and earned my Executive Certificate of Financial Planning at The Pepperdine University, Graziadio School of Business. During my career, I have spent several years working as a portfolio manager for a small arbitrage hedge fund. This experience has allowed me to leverage my institutional background while working with and developing strategies with my current clients. I now feel that sense of purpose when I’m helping people prepare for their financial future by implementing a unique but simple process all in a fiduciary capacity.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, I specialize in complex planning with a focus on tech professionals and entrepreneurs - especially those navigating stock options and equity compensation. I love diving into the intricate details of each client’s unique situation and building tailored personalized strategies.
Many of my clients are retirees or pre-retirees who are actively looking for an optimal way to navigate the complexities of retirement.
While I help people across a range of professions prepare for their financial future, I offer specialized planning for:
Medical professionals with unique income structures and practice considerations
Tech employees with equity compensation, such as stock options and RSUs
Entrepreneurs and small business owners managing both personal and business financial goals
My clients often come to me with complex financial questions, and they value having a strategic partner to help them make confident, well-informed decisions.
I focus on tax planning and optimization because they are crucial aspects to consider when managing your finances. By strategizing efficient ways to minimize tax liabilities and maximize savings, my clients can plan for the future. Additionally, I also help clients with retirement planning, Investment management, and cash flow planning because they are essential for maintaining a healthy financial balance.
I specialize in complex financial planning, with a focus on alternative investments, equity compensation, stock options, and Roth conversion strategies. While I take a comprehensive approach to wealth management, I believe my true value lies in creating tailored solutions - avoiding a “one-size-fits-all” type of advice.
I love spending time “nerding out” on all the intricacies of financial planning. That passion fuels my ability to provide clarity and personalized guidance every step of the way to my clients. Whether they want all the details or just a high level overview. I want to make sure that clients understand why they own certain investments, why their portfolio is set up in a certain manner, etc. I’ve found that clients really appreciate me spending the time to teach them and answer questions and it creates a higher level of comfort and empowers them to make confident financial decisions. My goal is for my clients to feel a sense of freedom and confidence to focus on the things that are most important to you in life.
My favorite part is seeing the transformation—when someone goes from feeling overwhelmed or uncertain about their finances to gaining real clarity and confidence in their plan. That sense of security we build together is incredibly rewarding.
I’m a numbers person at heart and love “nerding out” on the complexities. I see every financial situation as a unique puzzle, and I enjoy digging into the details to find creative, strategic solutions, not just offering cookie-cutter advice. Helping my clients feel in control and empowered is what drives me every day.
Partnering with Savvy allows me to expand my range of services and solutions to my clients. This includes access to alternative investments and advanced planning strategies.
