Lee Levy
Hi 👋🏼 I’m Lee Levy, a wealth manager based in Alamo, CA, with a background in trading and alternative investments. Before becoming an advisor, I spent over 15 years working with hedge funds, investment banks, and institutional clients — even running my own fund built on a rules-based strategy to remove emotion from investing. Today, I help high-net-worth individuals build risk-aware portfolios that align with their values and long-term goals. I became an advisor because I saw how hard it was to find one who truly put clients first — so I decided to become the kind of advisor I was always looking for

“Ignoring risk or telling clients to just “ride it out” isn’t a strategy — it’s a slogan. My approach is grounded in real-world experience managing through volatility, uncertainty, and structural market shifts.”

Lee Levy brings over 15 years of experience in the alternative investment space, where he worked closely with hedge funds, investment banks, and institutional clients as a trader and fund manager. His rules-based investment strategy was built to remove emotion from decision-making — an approach he continues to bring into his work as a wealth manager today. Based in Alamo, CA, Lee works with high-net-worth individuals who want long-term financial clarity without unnecessary risk, helping them align their portfolios with their goals, values, and the realities of the market.
Lee’s favorite part of his work is seeking ways to help clients shed financial stress, empowering them to focus on what truly matters in life.

I spent over 15 years as a trader in the alternatives space — working with hedge funds, investment banks, and institutional clients. Along the way, I developed and ran my own fund built around a rules-based investment strategy designed to remove emotion from decision-making.The shift toward financial advisory began when clients started asking, “I like what you do with my investments — what should I do with the rest of my money?” At the same time, friends and family often asked me for advisor recommendations. And frankly, I struggled to find anyone I felt confident referring them to.
My criteria were simple — but rarely met:
Put clients’ interests first
Offer thoughtful, personalized guidance (not a one-size-fits-all model)
Truly understand investments, volatility, and risks — not just repeat headlines from CNBC
After working with hundreds of advisors during my time on trading desks, I found very few who weren’t more focused on sales than service. So I eventually decided to endeavor to become the advisor I felt was missing from the industry.
My clients are often high-net-worth individuals who prefer not to manage everything themselves, but who also know there has to be a better way than what most advisors are offering, which I endeavor to offer.
They want clarity, accountability, and a strategy that aligns with their values and long-term goals.
I specialize in risk management, tax efficiency, and incorporating alternative and hedge fund strategies (when appropriate and suitable) to help clients build resilient, well-rounded portfolios. My focus includes designing income-generating strategies and taking a big-picture approach to portfolio construction, always with an eye toward aligning investments with each client’s unique values, life goals, and long-term vision.
I focus on strategies aimed at supporting long-term goals while avoiding unnecessary risks — this often includes income-focused portfolios, options strategies like covered calls, and selectively using alternatives to offer diversification and help reduce portfolio volatility. Picture Aesop’s fable ‘the tortoise vs the hare’, I’m the tortoise.
Every strategy is grounded in a deep understanding of risk, taxes, and each client’s unique circumstances.
Having worked alongside investors in the hedge fund world, I’ve had a front-row seat to observe what generally works — and what doesn’t.
Ignoring risk or telling clients to just “ride it out” isn’t a strategy — it’s a slogan. My approach is grounded in my own real-world experience managing through volatility, uncertainty, and structural market shifts.
No matter how much money someone has, they often carry financial stress — wondering if it’s “enough,” if they’re making the right decisions, or if something’s being overlooked.
In my opinion, helping clients gain peace of mind — by zooming out, seeing the big picture, and feeling confident in their strategy — allows them to focus on what really matters in life. That might sound unusual coming from a financial advisor, but I’m not striving to be the typical advisor.
Two things stand out:
Modern technology. I’m finally able to leverage tools that make my work more efficient and client-focused — instead of being stuck with outdated systems that slow everything down.
The people. The culture here is built on integrity and doing the right thing, not just talking about it. That aligns with how I’ve always tried to operate.
