Sara Gelsheimer, CFP®
Hi 👋🏼 I’m Sara. My goal as a financial advisor is to empower my clients to take control of their financial future with clarity, confidence, and a plan that aligns with their real lives, not just the numbers. While I love a good spreadsheet, I also focus on understanding my clients’ goals and making complex financial decisions easy to navigate. I value building deep relationships with clients while incorporating behavioral finance in my practice. Â
I work with clients of varying ages, backgrounds, and needs but particularly enjoy working with women experiencing life transitions like divorce, widowhood, career changes, and retirement.Â
Our Team
Sara, Susan, and Jackie, colleagues for years, founded Sorelle Wealth Partners to make a meaningful impact on women’s lives and to help them create financial plans to achieve their goals with confidence. They each have their areas of focus and different backgrounds in the wealth management space but share the mission of partnering with women to take ownership in their finances. In addition to working with women, many of their clients include couples, families, and men who are interested in taking a more holistic, coaching-based approach.

Get to know Sara
Sara’s path to financial planning didn’t start with spreadsheets, it began with a drive to serve others. Sara earned her college degree in social work, committed to making a real impact. It wasn’t until a finance professor challenged her thinking that she discovered a different way to serve others: through financial planning. That conversation led her to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, combining her love of numbers with her purpose-driven mindset.
Now, with over 15 years in the industry, Sara brings deep experience and personal insight to her role as Partner at Sorelle Wealth Partners. She helps clients take control of their financial future with clarity, confidence, and a plan that reflects their real lives, not just the numbers.Known for her empathy and straight-talk, Sara simplifies complex financial decisions without judgment. As a working mom of three, she understands how unpredictable life can be and how critical it is to have a plan that can flex with it.
Sara is especially passionate about empowering women to own their financial journey. Prior to joining Sorelle Wealth Partners, Sara was a shareholder at a Top 100 RIA* where she founded the firm’s women’s initiative focused on building financial confidence through education, support, and community with a mission to create a safe space for women to ask questions, make decisions, and feel in control.
When she’s not with clients or running Sorelle Circle events, Sara’s likely at a concert, out on a trail, or chasing after her kids, ideally with a coffee in hand and a date night on the calendar.

I attended college to study social work, driven by a genuine desire to help others. During a finance class I decided to take just for my own personal knowledge, my professor pulled me aside, told me I was in the top of the class, and asked why I wasn't majoring in finance. I told him I had no interest in sales, just helping people achieve their goals. He opened my eyes to the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation and the world of holistic financial planning. It was a perfect melding of my people skills and my knack for numbers. So I majored in social work and financial planning.Â
I excel in building deep relationships with clients and integrating behavioral finance to discover clients' true values and money stories, while helping them align their money accordingly. I have expertise in tax optimization, generational planning, retirement planning, and charitable giving.Â
I work with clients of varying ages, backgrounds, and needs but particularly enjoy working with women experiencing life transitions like divorce, widowhood, career changes, and retirement.Â
I focus on tax planning and optimization because they are crucial aspects to consider when managing your finances. By strategizing efficient ways to minimize tax liabilities and maximize savings, my clients can plan for the future. Additionally, I also help clients with retirement planning, Investment management, and cash flow planning because they are essential for maintaining a healthy financial balance.
I utilize many strategies around optimizing taxes (such as Roth conversions, charitable bunching via a Donor Advised Fund, IRMAA planning), hosting family meetings to discuss estate planning and legacy planning, retirement planning (including the shift in identity, not just numbers behind it) to name a few.Â
While I love a good spreadsheet and running various analyses, it's the human side of money that really fills my cup. I enjoy helping individuals and families discover what's truly possible with their wealth.Â
Particularly for women new to managing their finances, I love watching their financial confidence soar. I enjoy seeing them dream big and use their wealth to live their best lives whether it’s taking their entire family on that long-awaited international trip, making a meaningful donation to a charity that’s near to their heart, or simply finding peace with their financial situation. It’s truly a joy and an honor to be part of their journey.
I find Savvy’s technology and resources very helpful, as they allow me to focus more of my time building relationships with my clients.
