Nathan is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and Associate Advisor at Blue Barn Wealth, where he work with individuals and families to bring clarity and structure to their financial lives. Many people reach a point where their finances become more complex—investments, taxes, career decisions, family planning, and long-term goals. His role is to help simplify those decisions and build a thoughtful financial strategy that supports what matters most to them.

At Blue Barn Wealth, the team takes a comprehensive approach to financial planning that integrates investment management, tax-aware strategy, and long-term planning into one coordinated framework. Nathan is especially passionate about helping young professionals build strong financial foundations early so they can make confident decisions as their careers and families grow.

Outside of work, Nathan enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, skiing, camping, hunting, and fishing, and spending time with family and friends.

How did you become a financial advisor?

I’ve always known I wanted to build a career in personal finance because of the real impact it has on people’s everyday lives. While studying financial management and accounting, that direction became even clearer to me. I realized I didn’t just want to understand the numbers, I wanted to work directly with individuals, helping them feel more confident and in control of their financial decisions.

What areas of expertise do you have?

My background includes financial planning fundamentals, investment strategy, and financial analysis. I focus on helping clients understand their options and make disciplined, informed decisions.

What types of clients do you work with?

I work with individuals and families who want to build a strong financial foundation and be intentional about where their wealth can take them. Many clients are navigating increasing complexity, whether that’s investments, career, income, taxes, family planning, or long-term legacy goals, and are looking for clarity, structure, and thoughtful strategy.

What types of strategies do you usually help clients with?

We offer a comprehensive planning process built around key areas such as financial planning, investment management, tax planning, estate planning, and charitable giving. The goal is to help clients make confident decisions across all parts of their financial life, not just one piece at a time.

Is there a unique approach that sets you apart? 

I bring a high level of energy and attention to detail to every client relationship. I believe strong financial planning starts with engagement—understanding each client’s goals and building a strategy that supports them over time.

What is your favorite part about working with clients? 

Helping clients gain confidence in their financial decisions. When someone feels clear about their plan and empowered to move forward, that’s incredibly rewarding.
